Detailed Description
Pedaled up Maple Springs to Four Corners. Picked up trash at Four Corners. Several volunteers picked up trash along the entirety of Maple Springs Truck Trail up to Four Corners. A few volunteers stopped at the overlook on Modjeska Peak’s shoulder and picked up more trash there. Andrew found a half-melted carburetor, contractor nails and other crap that doesn’t belong on the mountain. We collected approximately twelve 33-gallon bags of trash and an automobile tire.
The majority of the crew (11 of hardy souls) continued on to summit Modjeska Peak, descend Buckthorn and then descend Motorway. All said and done, we biked 20 miles and 4.5k vertical and were back before lunch.
