Detailed Description

Darshan pedaled up solo from the bottom of Motorway at around 7AM. On the way, he encountered a fallen tree on Maple Springs Road; good thing he brought a trail saw! Chris Heck, Keith Eckstein and John Castro departed together an hour later on rented e-bikes (thanks for the free rentals go to The Path Bike Shop). Unfortunately, they left earlier than planned and missed Todd, Keith and Mike who convened at the meeting spot just after Keith left. Mike knew where the trail was and ended up joining us, but Todd and Keith P went to Old Main Divide. Keith P did a little sawing work on Old Main Divide and Todd did a little drain work on Joplin.

Keith Eckstein and John Castro worked together on the main washed out area just down below the under-canopy section. Mike joined Keith and John midway through the session and worked with them. Keith also did some rock work a little further down.

Chris Heck and Darshan worked together sawing out hanging branches near the end of the under-canopy section. Then Chris and Darshan worked on two wash out areas adding rocks to strengthen one section and redoing a drain in another, rutted section.

Darshan went on to bike up to Santiago Peak and down Old Main Divide, to investigate conditions. He then biked up Modjeska Peak and descended Buckthorn. The e-bikers were all out of juice and could not join for the post-trail-work join ride, unfortunately.
