Chino Hills Trail Work Saturday
Greetings and Salutations!
Happy Thursday ya’ll! I hope you haven’t finalized your weekend plans, because we have a trail work opportunity this coming Saturday. See below for details.
Chino Hills State Park Trail Work Opportunity
This Saturday, July 25 join the Orange County Mountain Biking Facebook Group and friends at Chino Hills State Park to help clear the Dragon’s Blood Trail.
Two options to participate:
Drive In: park at the Red Barn at Rolling M Ranch Campground. Meet at 8:00AM.
Bike In: park at the Santa Ana River Trail, Green River Parking. Meet at 6:30AM.
You know which option I’ll be choosing! Meet me at Green River and bike in with me. We’ll do some choice Chino Hills singletrack before joining everyone for trail work at 8:00AM.
Tools will be provided at the trail, so all you need to do is show up. Please RSVP if you plan to bike in.
Pilates and Pints Fundraiser Success
Our July 12 fundraiser at Brewery X, held in partnership with Pilates pro Natalie, was a great success! Together, we raised $2,000 to support The Warriors’ work maintaining and restoring trails in the Santa Ana Mountains.
This funding will help us replace worn-out saw blades and trail tools, purchase personal protective equipment for our volunteers, and provide water and snacks during our volunteer work days.
It was wonderful to see two communities come together to support our trails. Thank you to our mountain biking community and trail work volunteers for showing up, and a special thank you to Natalie's Pilates and yoga community for embracing our mission.
If you missed the event, check out our post-event thank you and recap videos on instagram.
San Juan Trail
I’ve been heads down working on estimating the work required to rehabilitate the San Juan Trail. I don’t have much to share just yet, but one thing is clear: we have our work cut out for us.
As I mentioned in the last newsletter, we will soon need the community’s help to bring this trail back online. More details to come.
